I began my career in car audio in high school back in the early 1990s, when the industry was in full bloom. I got my first gig at Cartunes in Stillwater, OK where I attended college. Eventually, I moved to Audio Midwest, another local shop, where I became the Car Audio Manager. From there I took a position with the Rockford Corporation as a product designer for Q-Forms and Q-Customs. During this time, I also started writing for automotive hobbyist magazines. After a few years, I struck out on my own as a freelance journalist, writing for many of the biggest automotive magazines in the world, including Hot Rod, Car Craft, Car Audio & Electronics, MuscleCar Enthusiast and many more. I have written 4 books, including a book all about designing and building the ultimate in-car entertainment systems, How to Design and Install in Car Entertainment Systems for CarTech Books.
