Now In: What is the 'Bass Performance Match' System?
Question: What is the 'Bass Performance Match' System? Added: 9/8/2005

Answer: The Bass Peformance Match system uses easy to use color coded icons for matching various manufacturer's subwoofers with Q-Logic enclosures.

Type 1 Enclosures
Small Sealed Enclosure - Use with drivers designed for small sealed enclosures. This box type produces tight, focused bass. The most accurate bass response of all box types, but requires more power.

Type 2 Enclosures
Medium Box - Use with drivers designed for medium sealed or small vented enclosures. This box type comes equipped with pre-cut port hole(s), port hole plug(s), and ports, so it can be used for either sealed or ported applications. More efficient than a sealed box, so you get more bass SPL with a little less accuracy.

Type 3 Enclosures
Large Box - Use with drivers designed for large sealed or vented enclosures. This box type comes equipped with pre-cut port hole(s), port hole plug(s), and ports, so it can be used for either sealed or ported applications. Much more efficient than a sealed box, so you get more boom for your buck, but with less accuracy.

Type 4 Enclosures
Bandpass Box - Use with drivers designed for bandpass enclosures. This box type is a sealed/ported hybrid. Highly efficient, but with less accuracy.

Type 5 Enclosures
SPL Enclosures - Use with drivers designed for large SPL (Sound Pressure Level) enclosures. This box type utilizes massive slot vents making them the loudest boxes Q-Logic has built.
